Neurology Beyond the Textbook: Movement Disorders

Join us for an engaging and practical session on Parkinson’s disease management across the continuum of care. This presentation will explore how and when to refer patients to movement disorder clinics in BC, review available diagnostic tests and their clinical utility, and highlight current early treatment strategies to support timely intervention. Attendees will also gain insight into advanced Parkinson’s therapies, including how specialists determine which patients are most likely to benefit, and important considerations for those who may not be suitable candidates. The session will conclude with a discussion on end-stage management, supportive care, and strategies to improve quality of life for patients and caregivers navigating advanced disease.
