About this Event
This free hybrid CME and CE will explore the lived experiences of self-advocates navigating a predominantly neurotypical world. Panelists will share personal stories that highlight common barriers encountered in education, healthcare, community systems, and personal relationships, along with their recommendations for creating more supportive and inclusive environments. They will also discuss the supports, therapies, and coping strategies that have contributed to positive outcomes in their own lives and inform their perspectives on systems change.

After attending the meeting, participants will be able to :
1. Describe the lived experiences of neurodivergent self-advocates and identify common barriers encountered in education, healthcare, community systems, and personal relationships.
2. Identify and discuss strategies for improving educational, healthcare, and community systems to better support neurodivergent individuals, based on direct recommendations from self-advocates.
3. Recognize and apply insights about effective supports, therapies, and personal coping strategies that contribute to positive outcomes for neurodivergent individuals within their own professional practice or systems-change efforts.
