Neurodivergent Speed Friending Event

Making friends as a neurodivergent adult can feel like playing a game where everyone else got the rulebook, and you didn't.

This Neurodivergent Speed Friending Event is designed to throw that old rulebook away. Whether you are Autistic, ADHD, OCD, AuDHD, or otherwise neurospicy, this is a dedicated space to connect with like-minded people without the pressure to "mask" or perform.

Our event is highly structured, predictable, and heavily accommodated to reduce social anxiety and sensory overload.

How It Works

Structured Rounds: You’ll be paired up at numbered tables for 6-minute rounds. A gentle visual timer and chime will let you know when to rotate.

Skip-the-Small-Talk Prompts: Every table features custom prompt cards focused on deep, fun, or hyperfixation-based topics (e.g., *"What is a random subject you know too much about?"*).

The "Pass" Rule: Don't like a question? You have full permission to say "Pass" and choose another one. No explanation needed.

Rejection-Free Matching: You will receive a scorecard at check-in. At the end of the night, write down who you clicked with. If the feeling is mutual, we will email you your matches the next day! No awkward asking for numbers on the spot.

Sensory & Accessibility Features

We want you to feel as comfortable as possible. This event includes:

Low Sensory Environment: No bright fluorescent overheads, no background music, and a designated, silent "Cool Down Zone" if you need a breather.

Communication Stickers: Choose a color-coded sticker at check-in to signal your social energy levels (e.g., Green = *"Approach me!"*, Yellow = *"Take it slow/let me talk first"*).

Stims Welcome: Feel free to bring your favorite fidgets, noise-canceling headphones, or comfort items.

Ticket Price: $25 (Includes light refreshments, tea/coffee, and your post-event match coordination).

Capacity: Strictly capped at 20 attendees to keep things intimate and manageable. *Tickets must be purchased in advance so we can balance the seating chart!*
