Networking Pizza is honored to welcome special guest Dr. Anna V. Eskamani for an intimate fireside conversation with our village.
A bold advocate for Florida families and everyday people, Anna was born and raised in Orlando — the daughter of working-class immigrants who came to the U.S. in search of the American Dream. She went to public schools in Orange County and on to the University of Central Florida, earning dual degrees and, later, a PhD in Public Administration. Today she proudly serves District 42 in the Florida House of Representatives, where in 2018 she made history as the first Iranian American elected to public office in Florida.
Beyond the Capitol, Anna is the Founder and Executive Director of People Power for Florida, a voter registration and engagement organization, and a Senior Collaborations Manager at NEO Philanthropy. She's championed housing affordability, healthcare access, public education, equality, and environmental protection — and in 2023 secured a permanent tax break on children's diapers and adult incontinence products. A problem solver known for kind sacrifice, endless hard work, and iron-clad values, she's earned a reputation across the state and nation as a leader who is, in her own words, unbothered, unbossed, and committed to the people of Florida.
