Networking at Northwest College of Art & Design with Tacoma Rising

Join Tacoma Rising for networking and a tour of the Northwest College of Art & Design in downtown Tacoma. Tacoma Rising hosts monthly tours of local businesses and devlopments to highlight the organizations that make Tacoma so incredible! By connecting a positivily charged business group we hope to provide a space to start conversations around Tacoma's Rise.

At this event you can expect to connect with other local business people from a variety of industries, enjoy food and beverage provided by NCAD, and be taken on a guided tour of the property to learn more about the school and their offerings. They also have a vacant space on the 7th floor that we would love to hear ideas of how to activate the space!

Schedule:

3:45pm - 4:00pm Check In Check in at the Tacoma Rising table located inside the entrance to the school. You will then be taken up to the 6th floor for networking in a large studio classroom.

4:00pm - 4:30pm Networking Session Enjoy networking with other Tacoma enthusiasts as you begin to immerse yourselve into the art school atmosphere. Indulge in light snacks and beverages courtesy of the Northwest College of Art & Design.

4:30pm - 4:45pm Introductions As introductions commence, learn more about Tacoma Rising and hear about the history and offerings at the art school. We will split everyone up into tour groups for the tour portion.

4:45pm - 5:15pm Tour & Presentation Group 1 will begin taking a tour of the building to see all of the different offerings at the school while Group 2 will enjoy a presentation to learn more about their establishment in Tacoma.

5:15pm - 5:45pm Tour & Presentation Group 2 will begin their tour while Group 1 settles in for the NCAD presentation.

5:45pm - 6:00pm Final Q&A and Event Wrap Up Both groups will return to the event space for any final questions.

Parking: Parking is available along the surrounding streets as well as in the Pacific Plaza Garage and the lot on the corner of 13th and Pacific Ave.

What to wear: This tour will be completely inside but there will be some light walking so be sure to wear comfortable footwear.
