NEST of Mobile Annual Luncheon

NEST is delighted to welcome Stephanie McCrummen as the guest speaker at the annual luncheon on November 12. McCrummen, a Birmingham native, earned a bachelor’s degree in history (with honors) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before pursuing a master’s degree in journalism (with honors) from Columbia University. She devoted many years to The Washington Post as a reporter and served as their Bureau Chief for East Africa for five years. Her dedication to informing the American people about political issues in our nation earned her the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting in 2018. Today, she works as a staff writer with The Atlantic, where her article on the displacement of the Maasai tribe in Tanzania was featured on the cover of the May 2024 issue.
