NERT July Training: Cribbing at the SFFD Treasure Island Training Facility

WHAT: July Monthly Training

• This month we have a special training at the SFFD Treasure Island Training Facility. Cribbing and possibly additional skills will be taught by NERT instructors.
• This training will be held in tandem with a larger SFFD drill, in which firefighters will be cribbing, shoring and performing search & rescue. NERTs will be able to observe the firefighter’s drill as well as practice their own skills.
• The Discovery Channel will be on scene filming how the SFFD prepares for earthquakes as part of a show about preparedness for different kinds of disasters throughout the country.
• As you know, NERTs are a huge part of our city's disaster preparedness planning and operations, which is why we need to be represented!
• This drill is limited to 20 NERT participants. Participants may be asked to consent to being filmed for the Discovery Channel segment.
