As has become a bit of a pattern, I'm planning a birthday Nerf event, this time for my 46th in 2026
This year for my 45th, I ran an event at the iCombat lazer tag site in leeds, with several game types themed around the number 45
Since we missed out on an event at Dishforth this year, I have booked the site for Sat 9th May next year for my birthday
My plan is to see how the usual game types I like to run in CQB scale up to a much bigger site with much longer engagement ranges, so expect some Pinger HvZ in the big 5, mirrored deathmatch, Seek and Destroy, etc. Some games will be themed around the number 46...
This is a 200fps event (based on a 1g dart = 1.85J), with a 130fps (0.8j) minimum engage / cqb limit - if you're in a building or within about 10 foot of someone, switch to your side arm.
No maximum number of grenades limit, but no reloading grenades during a game (multi bangs with a twist bottom can be swapped to the next round, just not refilled in game), cap grenades only in CQB arena and inside buildings, up to .209 primer grenades outdoors. Smoke grenades allowed and encouraged in outdoor areas.
There will be no insta death games, but there may be some K*ll confirmed style games with a bleed out rules, and 1 in 1 out games. Each player will also be given a syringe that acts as a single immediate respawn that can be used once throughout the day
Age restriction of 16 and over, though 14+ is possible if I know the player and trust them - anyone under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian on site at all times
Shield use is permitted, max of 2 shields per team - mega/ultra/arrows pierce, megaxl/emolisher/titan destroy
Eye protection is mandatory, and full face protection is recommended.
Entry to the day is £25 via your normal agreed payment method - i.e. paypal to [email protected]
This is a bring your own darts event - there will be access to a small short dart pool on the day. If you require any specialist ammunition, such as long darts, mega darts, vortex discs, rival rounds, missiles you will need to bring your own.
