About The Instructors

Fairlith: A graduate of New York’s American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Fairlith has been sharing her imagination, directing, writing, and performing professionally for over a decade. Described by Link Magazine as the 'Nerd Queen of Burlesque', Fairlith is an award-winning creator and writer. In 2012, she founded Geekenders, for which she has written and conceived of over 60 original dramatic works, burlesque plays, musical parodies, cheeky variety shows, and immersive productions including her 2019 hit, 'Alice in Glitterland'. Fairlith's work with Geekenders has been experienced by over 120,000 Canadian audience members and over 10 million YouTube viewers (and over 23k subscribers). Her work has been described as having a 'cult following' in Vancouver (Vancity Buzz). Fairlith mixes glitter, inclusivity, warmth, and irreverent humour to create a dreamy onstage world examining perspectives that have been repressed. Additionally, Fairlith hosts Rocky Horror at The Rio and is never going to stop. Fairlith has created programming for Barkerville Historic Town, Whistler Village, Disney Cruise Lines, Playland's Fright Nights, and New York’s immersive Times Square dining experience, Mars 2112. She is the founder of New York City’s ‘Company 1B’ theatrical troupe.

“People like Fairlith Harvey of Geekenders are taking the ropes and giving opportunities for females to be cast in non-traditional, male-dominated spaces. In doing so, they’re changing the fandom for the better while remaining true to its roots.”

Androsia Wilde: Androsia Wilde [she/her] is the perfect tropical cocktail - a generous pour of burlesque's glitz and tease, splashed with the intoxicating and rhythmic flavours of The Bahamas. This Daughter of Starlight and Seafoam's performing journey spans over 3,000 miles- from the Island Paradise of her birth, to the Pacific Northwest she now calls 'home', and has taken her through the realms of alternative modeling, martial arts, immersive theatre, acting for television, and dance. Her burlesque career started in May 2014 with her much-lauded debut as the 'yummy' scoundrel Lando Calrissian in Geekenders' initial production of "The Empire Strips Back", and has since set stages ablaze across the province such as 2017's Shambhala Music Festival, and the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival. Her performances are the epitome of Black Girl Magic and Joy, deftly combining her love of pop-culture with the personal pride in her Afro-Caribbean heritage - captivating and enthralling audiences alike with her dazzling smile, confident musicality, and grounding stage presence. After being described by virtually every teacher she's ever had as a 'charismatic chatterbox', Androsia brings her signature enthusiasm and confidence to the mic as an Event Emcee. With her love of a good quip, a better story, and never missing a moment to drop some knowledge, Androsia's goals are to hype up the crowd and make the cast + crew of any show feel seen, loved, and exalted. Off-stage, Androsia works to amplify the voices and presence of Black, Indigenous, and other Performers of Color in all facets of the burlesque community as an event producer, space facilitator, and instructor.
