Nerd Year’s Extravaganza *Wednesday, December 31st — Sunday, January 4th
We’re celebrating flipping the calendar over to a new year as only Paradox Comics-N-Cards can! This party features something for everyone from comic collector to card game players to tabletop fans.
Each day, we’re bringing exciting, unique events to the shelves and tables of 814 Main avenue. We’ll fill in the details as the big week draws near so stay tuned!

Hidden Treasures Booster Draft!

Let’s ring in the new year with a Paradox Comics-N-Cards tradition! You’ll draft from three home-made, 15 card booster packs containing nothing less than all Rares or Mythics! No pesky commons, uncommon, tokens, lands, or other goodies! What treasures could you find hidden amongst these packs and what kind of deck could you build?
Entry Fee: $19.99
Format: 3-Rounds Swiss
You’ll draft 3 home-made booster packs each containing 15 cards. You’ll build a 40 card deck including basic land we’ll provide and play 3 matches to win prizes.
Prizes:
1st Place: $50 Paradox Comics-N-Cards Gift Card
2nd Place: $25 Paradox Comics-N-Cards Gift Card
3rd — 8th Place 2 Standard Play Booster Packs (Your choice)
All Other Participants: 1 Standard Play Booster Pack (Your Choice)
Years ago, Paradox was infamous for “Crap Rare Draft”. If you know, you know. Today, it’s Hidden Treasures drafting where you never know what you might see next in your packs. Come one, come all, whether you played Magic your whole life or your just beginning, this is an awesome casual event that will fill your collection with cards, challenge your creativity & deck building, and pit you against the most unexpected and unpredictable Magic cards! In 2025, we had 30 players & this year we’re ready for more. Our Magic experts have spent the entire year cultivating these boosters by holding back Rares and Mythics from new collections and you’ll have a great variety of cards and more fun than ever.

Bring your friends, your decks, and play as much Commander as you can! Paradox Comics-N-Cards is not providing pairings so it’s up to you to play games. We’ll help you find a group to play with if this is your first Commander gaming here.

Each Entry: 1 Commander Vs Drawing Ticket
BONUS TICKETS: Any entry before 5PM earns 2 Tickets instead.
To qualify for the Commander Vs giveaways, you’ll purchase any booster pack you want & get enrolled in our event. You are welcome to stay and play all day as long as you enter at least one Commander Vs game, but you’ll receive a drawing ticket every time you enter.

Your entire Commander Vs game group must enter by purchasing their booster packs to receive the Gift Card. You’ll get a Gift Card every time you start a new Commander Vs game.
