About this Event

Welcome to Bigfoot Regional Poetry Festival’s Nerd Slam, hosted by Doc Luben. The Nerd Slam is a space for you to hear poetry we can all geek out about! Any poetry about a facet of pop culture (ie. television, film, literature, podcasts, gaming, anime, etc.) or poems with a science-minded bend is welcome! This slam will also have a competitive element - folks who come up to the mic will be asked trivia in their Nerd Area of Expertise. All folks, whether they get their trivia question(s) right or wrong, will still get to read! This is a FREE EVENT, and we would love to see you in the audience! If you want to share any poems, there will be a sign-up sheet at the event.
