About this Event

To maximize protection from the Delta variant of COVID-19 and prevent possibly spreading it to others, we request that you purchase your tickets ahead of time. Furthermore, according to the CDC, Denver is in an area of substantial transmission. EVERYONE WHO ENTERS THE THEATER MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19. Full vaccination is defined as 2 weeks after the second dose of the 2-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after the 1-dose Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine. Proof of vaccination can be verified with a physical vaccination card (original or copy), a picture of the vaccination card, or a display of your vaccination card via the myColorado app or CLEAR Health Pass app AND a photo ID that matches the name of the card.

Additionally, the CDC has an added recommendation for fully vaccinated people to wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial high transmission. As such, all guests and staff will be required to wear a mask at all times while in the theatre, regardless of their vaccination status, unless actively eating or drinking.

IT'S THE DAY AFTER TURKEY DAY ? We'll be stuffing our heads with knowledge and our stomachs with more booze.

JAKE VINCENT
THE HORSESHOE CRAB - BLOOD BOUNTY
Largely unchanged for over 400 million years, the Horseshoe Crab is a living fossil featuring blue blood, which has provided an incredible advantage to science. Learn all about the importance of the Horseshoe Crab with Jake Vincent as he provides details on how this blue blood product is put to daily use all over the world!
DR. FRANCESCA TRONCHIN
PYRAMIDS SCHEMES: THE STONE COLD TRUTH
Nerd Nite alum Dr. Francesca Tronchin returns with more ancient myths to debunk! Dr. Tronchin will start things off with some basics about the pyramids of Giza: their construction, their function, and their historical and geographic contexts. Then things will get even more interesting as she dismantles some of the myths surrounding these massive Egyptian tombs, including gold capstones, slave labor and, yes, the alien question.
DR. NOLAN WILSON
THIS YEAR IN SCIENCE
It's like our usual This Month in Science, but for the whole year instead, and it'll be Dr. Door Guy reviewing the scientific achievements of 2021 while your host Hanna probably provides comments from the peanut gallery . . .
