Science + Improv = Nerdy Fun
Who says you can't laugh and learn? Because YOU CAN! We've invited some really smart friends to tell us a little about their research and areas of interest. Then, we're going to use that as inspiration for unscripted comedy! Some of the top improv talent in New Orleans combine with academics to make sure you leave the show educated and entertained.
Learn (and laugh) with Dr. Kathleen Ferris as she shares about the science behind succulents!
Dr. Kathleen Ferris is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at Tulane University. Dr. Ferris has Bachelor degrees in Biology and English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago. She earned her PhD in Biology from Duke University and did post-doctoral work in population and quantitative genetics at UC Berkeley and UC Davis. Dr. Ferris has always been fascinated by three things: how things work, natural beauty, and storytelling. She is passionate about evolutionary biology because it combines all three.
