By popular demand, Banbury based band Neon Nights return to perform at the excellent Also Known As in their hometown.
Neon Nights is an indie rock force formed in 2022 by founders Dan Bonas, Steve Parish, and Liam Morgan. The quintet, also comprising Tom Stilgoe and Joe Bruce, weaves a tapestry of soulful soundscapes drawing from diverse influences.
Not only will the band be performing a selection of songs from their critically acclaimed debut album "Thirty Three", they will also be performing an array of their new songs, which excitingly, the band are in the process of recording in the studio for their second album.
Performing and releasing their own original music and songs, and building their name and gaining ever-increasing popularity at music venues across the width and breadth of the South East and Midlands, Neon Nights has quickly become a local sensation.
At a Neon Nights show, you can expect to be entertained and wowed by five immensely talented musicians, for whom creating and performing music is much, much more than just a mere hobby; it is a passion, a quest, a journey, something they genuinely love doing. For the Neon Nights boys, individually and collectively, music IS life.
Opening the evening's entertainment is the SUPERB Banburyshire band, The Shadow Figures. The Shadow Figures sound like they've stepped out of 1966. Fuelled by a shared love of Hammond Organs, Pirate Radio, and Swinging London, their music is a full-on freakbeat revival, with the swagger and swirling smoke of an era that never quite died. They don't recreate the 60s- they warp it through a modern lens. Think Yardbirds grit, Animals psychedelia & mod spirit of The Jam.
