Join the 757 Makerspace and Cardinal Skate Shop for this year's NEON Festival! The NEON District We are joining forces for a skate deck art competition and YOU get to cast a vote for which local artist will win the $1,000 grand prize! Artist will auction off their decks in a silent auction (winners announced at 9:30 pm) and proceeds will be split 50/50 with the artist and with Cardinal Skate Shop as a fundraiser to help them during this busy construction time on Granby St.
We'll also be activating the back entrance of Cardinal with a Disco Dance Party and Skate Jam!! Bring your roller skates and boards and boogie on the recently paved Magazine Lane! With music in the indoor skate park by John Parrish with Sunnyside Collective, DJ Elijah 3W0, and out on Magazine Lane by DJ Zaii, DJ Juicebox, DJ Don Fuego, and DJ Suboptimal formerly known as Teresa Ann! Video projection inside and outside by Zaii Perez and Ludi Moreira, it will be a special night you won't want to miss! Dress to impress in the disco theme to get a ticket to enter a swag bag raffle!
