While "wrong place, wrong time" crime thrillers are not exactly uncharted territory for The Coens, the impeccable collision of their sensibilities with Cormac McCarthy's prose creates something tense, horrifying, mysterious, darkly comic, and completely unique.
This restoration was supervised by director of photography Roger Deakins, and struck from the original 35mm negative for a visually stunning and audibly riveting experience. Go ahead. Call it.
