About this Event
NEON BLOOM formed in Toronto, 2017. Combining the talents of artists Jen Simpson (vocals), Simon Chow (guitarist/keyboards) Chris Romano (drums), and Fred Yurichuk (bass), the band have established themselves as one of the most innovative and energetic live bands in the Toronto music scene.
Neon Bloom’s first official release, an EP called First Fever, was produced by Rob Sanzo and came out in late 2018, followed by the self-produced EP Still Life released in 2020. In 2023, Neon Bloom released the single “One Last Time” accompanied by a music video shot in Japan, as well as the acclaimed single “Lovers Dance”, which received radio play across Canada. Allan Cross has chosen Neon Bloom three times for his “Weekly Music Picks”. Neon Bloom are now working with producer Ross Hayes Citrullo, as well as David Plowman for recordings to be released in 2024. Neon Bloom’s tracks ‘Tangerine’ and ‘Our Faces’ will be featured in ‘The Love Club Moms’ films (Sept. 2024)

LUCID SMOG DISORDER is a rock band from Toronto, Canada. They are known for their loud, in-your-face attitude, aggressive yet campy punk tunes, and Doris' pessimistic yet hopeful lyrics. While they are still a rather small band, in every show they play they get the crowd on their side and rock even the smallest club like it's Shea Stadium. In the summer of 2021, the boys locked themselves in the studio until their self-produced record was finished. Engineered and mixed by Jack Doris, "Psychedelicacy" is an honest expression of mental health, self-Medic*tion, and coming of age. Promoting the record Lucid Smog Disorder has played across southern Ontario at venues like Bovine Sex Club (Toronto), The Killroom (Hamilton), Avant - Garde (Ottawa), Sneaky Dee's (Toronto) & Warehouse Concert Hall (St. Catharines) headlining their own shows and opening for bands like Lime Ricky and Canadian icons Gob.
