Born in upstate New York and moved to Florida for college, Stephen graduated with a music degree from the University of South Florida. While he learned a lot about music in university, he had actually been playing music and forming his own bands since the age of twelve. After graduating college, Stephen traveled the country continuously playing in bands and shows until settling in South Florida as his permanent home in 1973. Over the past few years, Cocola has performed Neil Diamond songs in Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, and multiple sold-out venues in South Florida.
