Long-time Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett who is America's #1 tribute artist of Neil Diamond will be performing his full show at the M Resort Spa and Casino on Saturday January. 8 2022 before 1800 fans.
Doors open at 7 p.m. and Tthe show startswill begin at 8 p.m. in M The Pavilion. Tickets are on sale nowgo on sale at 10 am on Oct. 15 atthru Ticketmaster.com under Neil Diamond - The Tribute starring Rob Garrett. Prices are as follows: Level 1 $45 plus tax and fees Level 2 $35 plus tax and fees Level 3 $25starting at $15.00 plus applicable L.E.T.tax and facilities fees.
Like his iconic alter ego Garrett was born in Brooklyn NY although raised in Queens.
In 1974 his parents relocated the family to Las Vegas.
He performed to a sold-out crowd of 2000 a few years ago at a local casino. He received standing ovations for his performance. The story appeared in the Honolulu Star Advertiser. Hawaii's largest newspaper.
He's widely considered America's #1 Neil Diamond tribute artist and has come to be known as the 'King of Diamonds.' In 2008 Rob was awarded 'Male Musical Tribute Artist of the Year".
Rob first experienced Neil Diamond's show at the opening of the Theater for the Performing Arts at the Aladdin Hotel and Casino in 1976. He had already been a fan since 1969.
Rob fronted his own popular local Vegas band “Rock n Roll Heaven” for 15 years (1980-1995).
In 1995 Paul Revere of the Raiders musical group personally auditioned and hired Rob to perform in Legends in Concert in Honolulu. What was a three-month trial became indefinite.
In 1998 he returned to Las Vegas and continued to perform intermittently with "Legends" for two more years. Since then he has kept up a steady tour around America.
He has headlined at more venues in Las Vegas throughout the last 21 years than any other tribute artist or act.
In spring of 2021 Microsoft hired Rob to record a video of him singing “Sweet Caroline” for their convention in their home base of Seattle to introduce the new Windows 11.
Rob was told “we couldn’t hire Neil so we decided to hire the next best thing”.
How does Rob feel about Neil Diamond’s decision to retire from his live performances after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease? Rob said 'I absolutely feel more of an obligation a good obligation but it's still an obligation for me." He continued "To me it's something that I never get tired of doing and I have every intention of keeping his legacy alive.
There's a lot of people that never had the opportunity to see him."
