Join your local pop choir in the red & pink for a Summer Cabaret style show at the Crookes Social Club on Sunday 22 June with BIPOLAR ABDUL, JACK COLLINS, SAMARA CIRCUS AND SHEFFIELD MUSIC SCHOOL.6.30PM - DOORS
Children are very welcome (U12s come free!), we'll even try to keep them busy with an activities corner.
Come hungry - Sunshine Pizza will be parking their food truck outside the club so you can fuel up in between performances. Come lucky too - buy a raffle ticket as there'll be prizes to win all in aid of Sheffield City of Sanctuary.
NEIGHBOURHOOD VOICES & LIVE BAND (IG: @NEIGHBOURHOODVOICES)
Neighbourhood voices is a contemporary, secular choir that sings a range of pop, indie and alternative music. We welcome female identifying, trans and non-binary singers over 18 years of age, from any and all cultures, communities, neurotypes and backgrounds. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and actively working towards making our gigs and rehearsal space as accessible to all as possible. Past and current arrangements include songs such as 5 Dollars by Christine and the Queens, Pynk by Janelle Monáe and The Hardest Part by Olivia Dean. We sing in 3-5 part harmonies, and regularly perform across Sheffield and beyond. In recent years we've performed with Self Esteem at The Leadmill, opened Steve Lamacq's show on BBC World Music Day and hosted a SELL OUT cabaret last year too - so we're doing it again!

SAMARA CIRCUS - CONTORTIONIST
Samara is an intricate aerialist, handstand obsessive and contortion enthusiast, who loves dissecting movement and creating magic with it. She ran away to the circus in 2011, training with Greentop Circus and then joining a touring circus. Since then, Samara has taught and performed across the UK and in her home city, Hong Kong.
JACK COLLINS - POET (IG: @jackcollinspoet)
Jack Collins is a poet and educator who believes firmly in the power of community and poetry. Bringing strict love of the oral tradition to the stage, Jack has worked with EMI North, The National Literacy Trust and Leeds City of Culture 2023 among others; and he can’t wait to meet the Neighborhood.
