Grab your work gloves and join Friends of Grand Rapids Parks at Neighborwoods! Neighborwoods is our fall community tree planting event, in partnership with the Mayor’s Greening Initiative. We hope to see you on September 26 & 27 at River City Scholars Charter Academy to plant 200+ trees, for a total of 450+ trees planted in the Oakdale and Boston Square neighborhoods in 2025. Join us for a three-hour volunteer shift:
🌳 Friday, September 26: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
🌳 Saturday, September 27: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
🌳 Saturday, September 27: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Sign up to be a Tree Planting Volunteer and help plant trees in nearby neighborhoods. This is a great opportunity for families and groups to volunteer together!
Prefer to take the lead? Become a Site Leader and guide a team of volunteers during the event (additional training required).
