We are celebrating 4 years of our block clubs' re-establishment. This free event is for all Linsdale residents and is kid and teen friendly
About this Event

Hello, welcome to our celebration.

The event will begin at 12:00 p.m. and will end at 8:00 p.m. The day will include inflatable bounce house for smaller children, an inflatable obstacle course for all, a trackless train, resource tables, triathalon race & scavenger hunt(for the kids & teens). All households who choose to participate in the celebration will conduct their own festivities at their home. We encourage you to walk up & down the street to meet your neighbors and engage in the fun. For everyone's safety, Linsdale will be barricaded for no/extremely limited motor vehicle traffic. We, the block club, will be providing pre-packaged candy, chips, juices, freeze-pops, & sodas to the teen & youth only(Until it's gone).

REGISTRATION

To keep things in order, we are asking everyone who would like to participate in the event to register how many people you're inviting & expect to attend. All registered kids & teens will receive a wristband so they may compete in contests & use the amusement rides that will be at the event. In the future, we will be registering our block club as a non-profit, so that we may apply for funds that will help support, and cover most of the cost for events such as this. We also will apply for neighborhood beautification grants as well, so think of this as the first step to bringing dollars to our street for better quality of life projects, programs, & events.

T-SHIRTS

2025 block club party shirts are on pre-order right now sizes small - 5xl for $25 up until 6/27. The shirt design will be revealed once you have your shirt in hand, you wont be disappointed! The shirt will feature a unique design representing our street and will also highlight local businesses that have contributed to our event. Everyone will receive their shirt(s) the day before the event. There will be no shirt sales at the event. All shirt sales are final. UPDATE: We will not be having T-Shirts this year. Instead, we would like everyone to contribute to more rental hours for the train. If you'd like to contribute, please contact Paul. Our goal is $500 for 2 more hours.

CAMISETAS

TRIATHALON

All registered participants who are 17 years of age & under may participate in the triathalon. Game begins at 12:00 p.m. and cut off time is 6 p.m. to enter the race. Contestants will begin at Prairie, Running east to the speed hump between Burnette & Livernois. Awaiting them will be a bicycle for them to ride back to the starting point. contestants will then have to dismount the bicycle, run to a space to take off their shoes to go through the obstacle course. Fastest time wins. Contestants may practice as many times as they want until they are ready. Contestants get 1 timed opportunity to win a prize of $50 Wal-Mart gift card & a trophy.

TRIATLÓN

Todos los participantes inscritos menores de 17 años pueden participar en el triatlón. La carrera comienza a las 12:00 p. m. y la hora límite para inscribirse es a las 6:00 p. m. Los participantes comenzarán en Prairie, en dirección este hasta el reductor de velocidad entre Burnette y Livernois. Les estará esperando una bicicleta para regresar al punto de partida. Luego, deberán bajarse de la bicicleta, correr a un espacio libre para quitarse los zapatos y completar la pista de obstáculos. El mejor tiempo gana. MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS SCAVENGER HUNT

All registered participants who are 17 years of age & under may participate in the scavenger hunt. Game begins at 12:00 p.m. and cut off time is 6 p.m. to enter the hunt. Contestants will be given a map of Linsdale with clues on the back side. The clues will lead the contestant to 5 friendly Linsdale houses who have volunteered & been approved to mark their map, and pass out pre packaged snacks & drinks. The items will be sodas, candy, chips, freeze pops, & juice. The contestant with the fastest hunt time will receive a $50 Wal-Mart gift card & a trophy.

Todos los participantes registrados menores de 17 años pueden participar en la búsqueda del tesoro. El juego comienza a las 12:00 p. m. y la hora límite para participar es a las 6:00 p. m. RULES OF CONDUCT & ENGAGEMENT

* BE MINDFUL OF THE RESIDENTS

* Please assist in cleaning up during the event and once the event is over.

* The block club is not feeding everybody. You are responsible for feeding who you invite.

* Loud speakers & D.J.'s are welcome.

* Outdoor Movie Night! Fireworks! Bonfire! NO PROBLEM!!! We encourage the party to not stop after 8p.m. If you want to have your own "after-glow", go ahead.

* No parking of vehicles on the street throughouot the duration of the event. We ask that you please use your driveway, vacant unused lot, another street over, or whever you can. * There will be allowable on street parking East of the speed hump just before Livernois.

* There will be no/very limited vehicle traffic on Linsdale during the event. Emergencies & people leaving to or coming from work are permitable.

* Please DO NOT feed children that are not yours nor apart of your household festivities. We do not want parents getting upset with a neighbor for feeding their child without permission.

* No loud music after 10 p.m.

* Zero Tolerance, Zero Exceptions.

* Any agressive, violent, threatening, malicious behavior will not be called for. Violators will be arrested and charges will be pressed by multiple parties.

*Waiver And Release Of Liability All Attendees Agree to (Registered or not)

IN CONSIDERATION OF my desire to participate in said Activity and being given the right to participate in same;
I HEREBY, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, or personal representatives (hereinafter collectively, "Releasor," "I" or "me", which terms shall also include Releasor's parents or guardian if Releasor is under 18 years of age), knowingly and voluntarily enter into this WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY and hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind arising out of my participation in the Activity; and
I HEREBY release and forever dischargeNeighbors from Linsdale block club of Detroit, MI, their affiliates, residents, members, agents, volunteers, heirs, representatives, predecessors, successors and assigns (collectively "Releasees"), from any physical or psychological injury that I may suffer as a direct result of my participation in the aforementioned Activity.
I AM VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE AFOREMENTIONED ACTIVITY AND I AM PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITY ENTIRELY AT MY OWN RISK. I AM AWARE OF THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATING IN THIS ACTIVITY, WHICH MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: PHYSICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL INJURY, PAIN, SUFFERING, ILLNESS, DISFIGUREMENT, TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT DISABILITY (INCLUDING PARALYSIS), ECONOMIC OR EMOTIONAL LOSS, AND DEATH. I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE INJURIES OR OUTCOMES MAY ARISE FROM MY OWN OR OTHERS' NEGLIGENCE, CONDITIONS RELATED TO TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE ACTIVITY, OR FROM CONDITIONS AT THE ACTIVITY LOCATION(S). NONETHELESS, I ASSUME ALL RELATED RISKS, BOTH KNOWN AND UNKNOWN TO ME, OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THIS ACTIVITY.
I FURTHER AGREE to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Releasees against any and all claims, suits or actions of any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, compensation or otherwise brought by me or anyone on my behalf, including attorney's fees and any related costs.
I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE that Releasees are not responsible for errors, omissions, acts or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific event or activity on behalf of Releasees. In the event that I should require medical care or treatment, I authorize Neighbors from Linsdale block club to provide all emergency medical care deemed necessary, including but not limited to, first aid, CPR, the use of AEDs, emergency medical transport, and sharing of medical information with medical personnel. I further agree to assume all costs involved and agree to be financially responsible for any costs incurred as a result of such treatment. I am aware and understand that I should carry my own health insurance.
I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE that this Activity may involve a test of a person's physical and mental limits and may carry with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. I agree not to participate in the Activity unless I am medically able and properly trained, and I agree to abide by the decision of the Neighbors from Linsdale block club official or agent, regarding my approval to participate in the Activity.
I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS "WAIVER AND RELEASE" AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY. I EXPRESSLY AGREE TO RELEASE AND DISCHARGE Neighbors from Linsdale block club AND ALL OF ITS AFFILIATES, MANAGERS, MEMBERS, AGENTS, ATTORNEYS, STAFF, VOLUNTEERS, HEIRS, REPRESENTATIVES, PREDECESSORS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OR CAUSES OF ACTION AND I AGREE TO VOLUNTARILY GIVE UP OR WAIVE ANY RIGHT THAT I OTHERWISE HAVE TO BRING A LEGAL ACTION AGAINST Neighbors from Linsdale block club FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
To the extent that statute or case law does not prohibit releases for ordinary negligence, this release is also for such negligence on the part of Neighbors from Linsdale block club, its agents, residents, and members.
I agree that this Release shall be governed for all purposes by Michigan law, without regard to any conflict of law principles. This Release supersedes any and all previous oral or written promises or other agreements.
In the event that any damage to equipment or facilities occurs as a result of my or my family's or my agent's willful actions, neglect or recklessness, I acknowledge and agree to be held liable for any and all costs associated with any such actions of neglect or recklessness.
THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY SHALL REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR THE DURATION OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITY, DURING THIS INITIAL AND ALL SUBSEQUENT EVENTS OF PARTICIPATION.
THIS AGREEMENT was entered into at arm's-length, without duress or coercion, and is to be interpreted as an agreement between two parties of equal bargaining strength. Both Participant/attendee and Neighbors from Linsdale block club agree that this agreement is clear and unambiguous as to its terms, and that no other evidence
shall be used or admitted to alter or explain the terms of this agreement, but that it will be interpreted based on the language in accordance with the purposes for which it is entered into.
In the event that any provision contained within this Release of Liability shall be deemed to be severable or invalid, or if any term, condition, phrase or portion of this agreement shall be determined to be unlawful or otherwise unenforceable, the remainder of this agreement shall remain in full force and effect. If a court should find that any provision of this agreement to be invalid or unenforceable, but that by limiting said provision it would become valid and enforceable, then said provision shall be deemed to be written, construed and enforced as so limited.
I, THE UNDERSIGNED PARTICIPANT, AFFIRM THAT I AM OF THE AGE OF 21 YEARS OR OLDER, AND THAT I AM FREELY AGREEING TO THE TERMS OF THIS DOCUMENT.
I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT, THAT I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT AND THAT THIS RELEASE CANNOT BE MODIFIED ORALLY.
I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT, AND I AM AGREEING TO IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
