Neighborhoods, Bridges and Parks, Oh My!

Please join us for a four-mile loop that will take us across the historic Colorado Street Bridge, and eventually underneath it, with vantage points of the bridge along the way. We will explore parts of the beautiful San Rafael and South Arroyo Boulevard neighborhoods, cross the historic La Loma Bridge, and walk through a couple of parks, including Desiderio Park underneath the Colorado Street Bridge.

Desiderio Park is toward the end of the walk. There are water fountains and restrooms there.

After Desiderio Park, there is a very steep incline on Arroyo Drive, under the 134 freeway and on Holly Street to Orange Grove. While there is a sidewalk, this section is not ADA friendly.

We recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes, sunblock, and a hat. We also recommend that you bring water and a snack.
