For our July Neighborhood gathering, we are joining the Sycamore Greenway Friends for a neighborhood nature walk on the Sycamore Greenway Trail. Tyler Baird, Iowa City Superintendent of Parks & Forestry, will join us to provide education and history of the Sycamore Greenway, and to answer your questions. We will meet at the obelisks near Grant Wood Elementary, and walk to the bench near the midpoint of the trail (past the birds sculpture). About 1.6 miles round trip, but we can turn back earlier if it's hot or if people just don't want to walk that far. Bring water, sunscreen and your walking shoes. Pets on leash are welcome, too.
