About this Event
Take a walk and learn about trees! With the Tree Stewards of Arlington & Alexandria, you will learn about the trees which border the Courthouse sidewalks and streets. Get answers to some of the most common questions about trees:
- What tree is that?
- How much water do newly planted trees and established mature trees need?
- Do I need to mulch, and how much is the right amount?
- What trees are appropriate for planting near power lines?
- What percent of my yard should be native plants to support birds?
- How close to my house or street can I plant my tree?
- What trees are best for soggy areas?
- What are the best trees for wildlife?
- What about deer?
Please meet us outside of the front entrance of the Bozman Government Center where we will walk some blocks and back. Please wear appropriate footwear for walking on hilly sidewalks, and plan for walking for two hours. Please also bring water.
