About this Event
Your Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Neighborhood Team Program (NTP) is hosting our next Neighborhood Disaster Response Drill in the Del Rey area!
These drills will rotate around the City of Los Angeles but all are welcome even if you don't live in the area or don't live in the City of Los Angeles.
Come join your community and CERT on Sunday, July 14th from 9:30 to 12:30 pm. The drill will start promptly at 10am so please be here BEFORE 9:30am to allow for time to sign in. The drill will end at 12pm and a 30 minute hot wash will be conducted immediately after. We expect to be out of there by no later than 12:30pm.
These drills will focus on following the Step-by-Step Guides found at https://documents.ntp-la.org
Location: Bill Rosenthal Del Rey Park, 4601 Alla Rd, Marina Del Rey, CA, 90292.
These drills will be conducted in person but outside, there is a limited street parking on nearby so get there early to make sure you get a good spot.
Everyone is welcome to attend or observe regardless of if you live in the area or what training or experience you have. If you have not attended one of our drills or trained with us in the past or even if you are not CERT trained, you are welcome to attend and observe or join one of the teams or help at the Staging Area.
If you have them, bring your response bag, vest, and radios to get used to carrying your equipment. If you don't, don't worry about it. We will provide what you need for the drill.
There will be positions at the Staging Area as well as on Incident Response Teams that will be walking in the neighborhood.
