Mark your calendars for the most important night for justice in Lancaster County! Our Nehemiah Action Assembly this year is on Thursday, May 1st at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
Event begins promptly at 6:30pm, doors open at 6pm! Please arrive early.
At the Nehemiah Action you can expect to hear testimonies from individuals impacted by the community problems we’ve identified and a clear summary of the research that supports our proposed solutions. These pieces will lead up to Justice in Action’s spokespeople making clear and specific requests of public officials or other decision makers who we believe can help implement these solutions. Before the event we will have met with these decision makers to prepare them for what to expect. We recognize that compromise may be necessary, so spokespeople on stage may engage in negotiation with decision makers in order to come to a commitment that is mutually agreeable.
While these events unfold on stage, those seated in the crowd will be asked to remain respectful and generally quiet unless called upon by our spokespeople, clapping when we hear something good and remaining respectfully silent if we get a disappointing response from a decision-maker.
