Good negotiation starts with a plan.

Learn the philosophy, strategies, and tactics of effective negotiation and how to apply them to real estate transactions.

Using curiosity and practical techniques, you'll learn how to better understand what matters to each party and work toward win-win deals and happy clients.

You don't need to be a “super negotiator.” You need the right tools.

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

1. Create a friendly, winning negotiating philosophy.
2. Establish a friendly, unconscious negotiating strategy.
3. Identify client-centered negotiating tactics.
4. Create user-friendly practices when communicating with people.

In-person classes are held at Carol's Classes LLC in the historic Creamery Mall in Rapid City.

The classroom is located on the second floor, and an elevator is available.

Free parking is available on 2nd Street in front of the building. There is no two-hour parking limit.

Carol's Classes LLC submits completed sign-in sheets to the South Dakota Real Estate Commission within approximately 2–5 business days after class.

Posting of credit by the Commission depends on its processing schedule and is usually completed within a few days.

A certificate of completion is available by email after completing the short certificate quiz, which is available for five days after class.

If severe weather requires a change to the class, registered students will be notified.

Carol's Classes LLC may cancel or reschedule a class or change instructors when necessary.

Contact Carol's Classes LLC at least two business days before class if you need to transfer your registration to another class.

Transfers are subject to seat availability. If the new class has a higher registration fee, the student is responsible for the difference.

One transfer is included. Additional transfers require prior approval.

Refund requests must be made at least one business day before class.

If you paid through Eventbrite: Carol's Classes LLC pays the Eventbrite processing fee when you register. If your registration is later refunded, your refund will be the purchase price minus the Eventbrite processing fee.

If you prepaid by check: Approved refunds will be issued directly by Carol's Classes LLC.

Advance registration through Eventbrite is required.
