Presenting "Significantly Less Deceptive"
About this Event

Doors open at 6pm / Show starts at 6:30pm / Q&A follows

Join the Internet Archive for a live performance by Negativland, the legendary sound collage collective whose groundbreaking work has challenged conventions around media, copyright, and culture for more than four decades.

Over The Edge: Significantly Less Deceptive comes to the Internet Archive's San Francisco headquarters for a live "theater of the mind" experience blending found sound, music, radio, humor, and sonic experimentation.

Negativland's infamous U2 parody and the legal battle it sparked became a defining moment in the fight over fair use, artistic freedom, and who controls culture. Those questions remain as relevant today as ever, making the Internet Archive an ideal venue for this performance.

In 2015, the Internet Archive partnered with Negativland to preserve and provide free public access to more than 4,000 hours of Over The Edge, the group's legendary weekly freeform radio program spanning 34 years. That archive remains freely available to listeners around the world.

Experience a special evening where experimental art and digital preservation come together.
