About this Event
An exciting course which will combine two of our favourite methods: needle felting onto fabric and free-motion machine embroidery. In the first half of the session you will learn how to needle felt a beautiful artwork onto fabric using a simple but highly effective needle and sponge technique. In the second part of the session, you will learn how to use free-motion embroidery to add beautiful finishing touches. Images provide although you are very welcome to bring your own (7.5 inch diameter max)
Some basic sewing experience would be desirable for this course, but not essential. We are happy to teach learners of all abilities and levels of experience.
Sewing machines are provided, although you are welcome to bring your own machine (if using your own machine, it must have the function to 'drop the feed dogs' and come with an appropriate darning foot. Please let us know at the time of booking if this is the case). Machines must be in good working order and have a recent PAT test certificate.
Please bring a packed lunch.
This is an adult course for ages 16+. Ages 14+ welcome if booked alongside another booked adult.
