Meet Your Guide to the World of Needle Felting, Bleu Vermeer! With a passion for transforming fluff into art, Bleu is a long-time needle felting artist with a wealth of experience. In their classes, they encourage students to hone their tactile senses and structural visualization skills while teaching the science of non-woven fibers. Their infectious enthusiasm and knack for breaking down complex techniques into digestible steps make learning a joyous adventure.
Class Description
Join us for a fun, seasonal craft experience in our beginner-friendly needle-felted pumpkin workshop! In this 3-hour in-person session, you'll learn how to shape, color, and add texture to wool to create your very own pumpkin masterpiece. Whether you want to make a classic orange pumpkin, a bumpy warty one, or a quirky jack-o-lantern, this workshop will help bring your ideas to life.
No previous needle-felting experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. You'll leave with a finished felted pumpkin and a solid understanding of the tools and techniques to continue creating on your own. Join us for a cozy, creative experience, and leave with a handmade pumpkin that will be the perfect touch for your seasonal decor.
Material Fee
The materials fee for this class is $10 for consumed materials and the use of tools during the workshop. If you would like to keep your tools after the workshop, there is an additional $5 restocking fee. This instructor prefers payments through Venmo, Paypal, and Cashapp; cash is accepted.
Class Goals
Students will learn about types of felting tools and fiber quality.
Learn shaping and coloring techniques to customize their pumpkin.
Finish a felted pumpkin to bring home.
Material Supplied
Wool pumpkin cores, colored merino wool, felting needles, and foam work mats.
Students Should Bring
Love for the fall season!
Prerequisites
Students must be 14 years old or older. All students under 18 must be accompanied by and under the direct supervision of a responsible adult.
