The Bottle Works presents Folk Art Fridays at the Cambria County Library!
Through our partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts as the Folk and Traditional Arts Partner for Region 12, the Bottle Works Ethnic Arts Center is bringing a series of 15 Folk Art workshops, lectures, and performances to our community partners at the Cambria County Library!
What is a Cryptid? Cryptids are creatures studied by cryptozoologists. They are believed to exist in the wild, but their existence is either disputed or unsubstantiated by science. Cryptozoology is considered a pseudoscience that primarily looks at stories from myth and folklore like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.
In this workshop, Rayna Noel will show you how to “paint” a picture using wool and a felting needle. The notches on the needle felt the wool together by pushing it into itself.
