Needle Felt a Snowy Owl Ornament Workshop
About this Event
Transform a cloud of loose wool into a pocket-sized companion! Join fibre artist Cathy Disbrow to explore the art of needle felting by sculpting a 3″ snowy owlet. You will learn to stab to shape the wool into a sturdy body shape before adding personality with those signature speckled markings and a pair of stern yellow eyes.
In a unique farm-to-art experience, you’ll work with wool sheared right from the Village’s own flock of Border Leicester sheep. It's a cozy afternoon of crafting that is perfect for beginners and definitely Hedwig approved.
Make a full day of the experience! Your ticket includes FREE Village admission, which opens at 11:00 a.m. for those who wish to bring a picnic lunch and explore the grounds. Best of all, you can visit the sheep in their field before or after the workshop.
Cost: $70.00
Materials are included in the price. This includes 2 felting needles and wool. Foam felting pads are provided for students to use during the workshop and can be purchased separately.
