About this Event

Get into the holiday spirit by learning to transform loose wool into a solid, sculptural figure. Fibre artist Cathy Disbrow will show you how to needle-sculpt Santa’s body, add facial features, and properly attach his signature beard. In this unique farm-to-art experience, you’ll work with wool sheared directly from the Village’s own flock of Border Leicester sheep. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a handcrafted, 4" tall Santa ornament ready for your tree. It’s a relaxing, tactile way for beginners and experienced crafters alike to kick off the festive season.

Make a full day of the experience! Your ticket includes FREE Village admission, which opens at 11:00 a.m. for those who wish to explore the grounds. Best of all, you can visit the sheep in their field before or after the workshop.

Cost: $70.00

Materials are included in the price. This includes 2 felting needles and wool. Foam felting pads are provided for students to use during the workshop and can be purchased separately.

If you have any questions, please email instructor Cathy at [email protected].
