Needle Felt a Mouse Poking Out of a Mini Pumpkin Workshop
About this Event
Hold the cheese! Celebrate the arrival of autumn by crafting a whimsical mouse nibbling its way out of a pumpkin. Join fiber artist Cathy Disbrow to learn the art of needle-felted sculpture. She will guide you through the techniques needed to shape and detail this tiny 3" figure.
In a unique farm-to-art experience, you’ll work with wool sheared right from the Village’s own flock of Border Leicester sheep. Needle felting is an engaging and rhythmic process of sculpting wool with a special barbed needle. This is a satisfying project for beginners looking to try a new hobby. We know this workshop will make you squeak with delight!
Make a full day of the experience! Your ticket includes FREE Village admission, which opens at 11:00 a.m. for those who wish to bring a picnic lunch and explore the grounds. Best of all, you can visit the sheep in their field before or after the workshop.
Cost: $70.00
Materials are included in the price. This includes 2 felting needles and wool. Foam felting pads are provided for students to use during the workshop and can be purchased separately.
