NECRØ, emerging from Portugal, is quickly positioning itself as a powerhouse within the European dark electronic scene, weaving together industrial, darkwave, and cinematic synth elements. The duo, composed of João Vairinhos and Sara Inglês, has captivated listeners and critics alike with their immersive, dark, and brooding soundscapes, which feature haunting synth lines, evocative beats, and melancholic vocals. Their 2023 debut EP, Death Beats, delivered an atmospheric yet visceral sound that echoes influences of Boy Harsher’s noir synthwave and Perturbator’s dystopian intensity but remains uniquely theirs.
