NeCrow is proud to bring to Bristol this ethereal line up of Darkher, Grift and And Now The Owls Are Smiling. Join us on Saturday 30th September at Dareshack, Bristol to be transported to darkly beautiful and otherworldly places. Tread carefully.DARKHER was conceived as the sole brainchild and solo-project of Northern English singer, guitarist and composer, Jayn Maiven in 2012. The sinister yet beguiling images that Darkher paints with her ethereal vocals, guitars, and added strings, conjure iridescent cinematic scenes in which it becomes hard to tell whether there lies beauty in darkness, or if it is the other way around.

With its seamless transitions between bleak, atmospheric metal and forest folk compositions, Sweden’s GRIFT has grown prominent across multiple scenes. Regardless of instrumentation, or whether Grift performs in concert or studio, Erik Gärdefors always seeks to convey the sense of melancholy and existential questions that artists and thinkers throughout history have always felt a strong urge to express. Borne from pure nature mysticism, Grift offers evocative escapism to – if only for a moment – sever the chains of mundanity and allow your imagination to roam free. Erik will be performing a solo acoustic performance.

Hailing from the scenic, expansive and open landscapes of rural North Norfolk (UK), And Now The Owls Are Smiling is an atmospheric/depressive black metal project from the fascinating mind of Nre. Using nature, grief, solitude and desolation as his inspiration, he fills his sounds with such tangible darkness that the listener is inevitably wrapped up within them. Nre will be performing a solo acoustic performance.
