This workshop is part of Transformation Series.

We bring two great presenters from NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

In this workshop, Carrie will provide you with a hands-on understanding and overview on NDIS Quality and Safeguards best practices. Also, she will also share information on Risk Management and Mitigation from a service provider point of view.

The second part of the workshop, Samantha will be introducing us to Workforce Capability Framework and Tools.

About the Speakers:

Carrie Sutcliffe, A/ State Director WA

Carrie Sutcliffe is Acting State Director WA with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Carrie’s substantive role with the Commission is Assistant Director Reportable Incidents WA. Carrie’s previous background is as a Police Detective in the UK ,where for 12 years she

investigated major incidents and serious crime. She is a vulnerable witness interviewer and worked for a period of time on joint police and social service investigations into child abuse . Since moving to WA sixteen years ago she has worked as a regulator in a number of Commonwealth Government agencies including as a Complaints Manager with the then Aged Care Commissioner and as a Investigations Manager with ACCC and Department of Health.

Samantha Jenkinson is Director Workforce Quality in the Policy, Markets and Insight division of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. She established the WA office of the NDIS Commission as the State Director Western Australia for her first two years. Prior to that, Samantha has been an advocate for the rights of people with disabilities since the early 1990’s and throughout her professional life as a social worker. She has been past chair of the Ministerial Advisory Council on Disability in WA, as well as a previous member of the National Disability and Carer Council. Samantha spent 6 years as a local Government Councillor with City of Stirling and her previous role was CEO of People with Disabilities WA.


We are a group of people providing direct or indirect care & services to People living with disabilities and the disability ecosystem.

Our Purpose is to strengthen the community of practitioners, service providers, and people with disabilities with sector-appropriate resources, knowledge and networking opportunities.
