Nelson Cadet Unit is holding an information night for 13–15 year olds who are interested in joining Army Cadets in 2026. We are looking for keen young people who want to develop leadership skills, challenge themselves, and be part of a motivated and successful unit.
These info nights will be held on Tue 10 Feb and Tue 17 Feb at 6:30pm, at the Nelson army Office, cnr or Rutherford & Hardy St.
The evenings will start with a presentation about what we do and what being an Army Cadet involves. This will be followed by a short rotation through some stands, giving you a hands-on look at some of the training and activities our Cadets take part in.
At the end of the night, enrolment packs will be available for anyone who is interested in joining or wants to take the next step. This is a relaxed opportunity to ask questions, meet our staff and Cadets, and see whether NCU is the right fit for you.
