NCT BRENTWOOD NEARLY NEW SALE
About this Event
NCT BRENTWOOD NEARLY NEW SALE
Brentwood NCT's Nearly New Sales are very popular to both sellers and buyers. Clear out all those things the kids have grown out of or no longer play with and let another family get some joy from them making yourself some money at the same time. You do NOT need to be a NCT member to buy, sell or volunteer. Everyone is welcome.
Selling is really easy. You do not need to be at the sale to sell items. You can drop your labelled items off the night before and leave the rest to us, collecting your unsold items after the sale. Our sales are run entirely by volunteers with any profits going to the NCT charity. If you are able to help at the sale, this would be much appreciated. To find out more about how our sales work see our website
The sale will take place Sunday 11th October 2026, 10:00am-12:00am - NCT members entry from 10:00am, non members entry from 10:30am, at Brentwood School Sports Centre, Middleton Hall Lane, Brentwood CM15 8EE.
Sellers:
Sellers pay 25% commission on all sales, but only 20% if you volunteer for the all day slots. Registration is £15, which includes a refundable deposit of £10 which will be returned after the sale, as long as you sign in with the Sellers Coordinator when dropping off your items for sale.
Once you have registered you will be emailed a Seller’s Pack. This will include instructions for drop-off, pick up and labelling as well as some sellers’ tips. At our last sale we introduced bar coded labels which made the sale run very smoothly. Feedback from sellers was resoundingly positive. Labels need to be printed, but if you don’t have a printer you can use the printers at the library or email the .pdf to a friend or there is an option when you create the labels to have the labels printed by GoBarcodes who will post them to you. Using GoBarcodes means sellers are able to see exactly what has been sold shortly after the sale has finished. You will be sent detailed instructions on how to create these with your sellers pack. If you sold with us at the last sale in May 2026, your unsold items will be in the database when you log in so you won’t need to re-enter them. You will need to reprint though as the barcode will have changed.
At this sale we are not limiting the number of non-clothing items you want to sell so you can sell as much as you want! There will still be a limit of 30 free clothing items though. If you enter more than 30 clothing labels a charge of £3 for up to 20 additional labels will be applied and deducted from your sale proceeds.
Only our specific labels with bar codes should be used. Unfortunately we cannot accept any other sort of labels at this sale. The maximum number of clothing items each seller can sell is limited to 50 clothing and shoes (please only sell seasonal clothes) Non-clothing labels are not limited, but if you want to sell more than 150 items in total you will need to contact us at nns.brentwood.org.uk
You will receive your Seller’s Pack at the beginning of September, unless you register after this time. All items for sale must be dropped at the hall on Saturday evening between 5.45pm and 6.45pm - no items can be accepted on Sunday morning unless by special arrangement.

Volunteers:
Our sales are run solely by volunteers. We’d love any time you can spare to help but there is no obligation to. It’s actually really good fun and some time away from your kids with a hot cuppa!
There are a number of different slots that you sign up for, to fit in with busy lives. Hopefully you can find one that works for you. Go to the tickers area to see the slots.
There will be experienced volunteers on hand to support you if you’ve not volunteered at one of our sales before.
The help we need includes:
- Setting up the hall - cleaning and putting tables out, putting up signage, setting out the sellers’ items.
- During the sale (hall) - tidying items in the hall, working on the tills taking payment, packing buyers purchases away.
- After the sale - sorting the unsold items into seller numbers, clearing away tables, signage and other equipment
To register to help, please purchase a (FREE) ticket for the slot(s) you can do. You will then receive email confirmation of your registration for that slot. We will then email you closer to the sale - probably in late September - with more details. If, for any reason, you sign up and then are unable to help, please do email us at [email protected] to let us know, as soon as you can.
If you have any restrictions that may impact on your role, or would really prefer to do or to avoid particular roles, please drop us an email at [email protected] once you’ve registered to let us know. We can then take this into account when allocating roles.
THANK YOU!
