We just wrapped up our 6-week class series and it's time to party! We're so excited to have local favorites Gretchen Midgley and the Sidecar Special playing for us!. Live music means special pricing of 18$ at the door, and as always, sign up at https://newcolumbiaswing.org/register/ to save money.
In addition to the awesome live music, we've also got two great classes for this night only! Lindy hop is an athletic dance that we can enjoy for life if we take care of our bodies! Preventing Injury for Dancers will teach you the key components of injury prevention for Lindy Hoppers, taught by Kyle Seymour, a certified athletic trainer and fitness professional. The Sugar Push is a dynamic staple most often associated with Hollywood or California-style Lindy Hop. Sugar Push Deep Dive will add this move to your vocabulary while bringing new technique to your partnered dancing!
If you've been doing the drop in class and waiting for Swing 1 to come around again, never fear, we're starting a new 6-week Swing 1 series on September 17th. Sign up for this and any of our other classes at https://newcolumbiaswing.org/classes/
SCHEDULE:
All classes (including a drop-in beginner lesson which is included with your admission) run from 8pm to 9pm. Then practice what you've learned to the music of our incredible band from 9pm to 11pm.
