Join us for our official "Un-Masking"of the McRitchie-Hollis Museum's
New Permanent Exhibits!
In honor of our benefactor Edgar Hollis Jr and our current members, the Newnan-Coweta Historical Society and McRitchie-Hollis Museum is hosting a member appreciation night on June 25, 2021. NCHS staff and board will speak about the state of the organization and deliver a vision statement for the upcoming year. Staff will lead tours throughout the museum as well as give members an "inside" peek into our collections!
The McRitchie-Hollis Museum will also host the opening of its newest permanent exhibits. These installations are part of Phase One of a multi-phase project to transition the furnishings museum to a local history museum.
Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served. A Ribbon Cutting hosted by the Coweta County Chamber of Commerce will precede event at 4pm (More information at https://fb.me/e/1ouMvPNPY)

About the McRitchie-Hollis Museum Benefactor: Newnan native, Edgar Baldwin Hollis was the son of Edgar Baldwin Hollis, Sr. and Janet McRitchie Hollis. He attended Newnan High School and as a graduate of Emory University, he received a Bachelor's Degree in History and a Master of Humanities Mr. Hollis' professional career was in Washington, D.C. with the United States Government. During his 33 years of service, he worked with the National Security Agency in the Inter-Library Loan Division.
