About this Event

NCFL Chapter of FLAEYC Tracks to Excellence Conference "Everyday Heros!"
We are delighted to have Ron Mohl be the guest speaker for our conference at Trinity United Methodist Church on March 28th from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Ron Mohl, with over 24 years of experience in early childhood education, brings a dynamic blend of insight, humor, and hands-on strategies to support educators. As Lead Educational Presenter for Lakeshore Learning Materials, Ron’s interactive sessions will inspire you through the lens of authentic engagement, mutual respect, and the transformative power of play!
Sessions topics include:
- Early Childhood Educators: Everyday Heroes - Imagine the profound impact you have as an early childhood educator, shaping the future of children and their families. This keynote celebrates the vital role you play in nurturing young minds and hearts. You are a catalyst for children’s well-being, fostering a supportive environment where children feel seen, heard, and valued. By being present and attentive, you help children develop essential skills and embark on their journey toward independence. Join us to be inspired and empowered, as we recognize and amplify the incredible influence you have in creating a brighter, more compassionate world for our youngest learners and their families. Let's embrace our roles with passion and dedication, knowing that every moment we invest in a child's life is a step toward a better future.
- Music & Movement: Moving & Grooving! - This workshop fosters the natural relationship we can all have with music, rhythm, songs, and chants. We will learn how to purposefully use music and movement activities throughout the day to support learning and development. Be ready to move, groove, and learn!
- Building STEAM Throughout the Day - STEAM provides an engaging and exciting approach for children to connect Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. STEAM careers are everywhere, so let’s get children excited for the future! In this session, we take the time to determine intention and best practices for implementation of the engineering design process through interactive challenges. We’ll also discuss the importance of providing growth-minded feedback and allowing children’s natural curiosity to drive their learning, while providing hands-on experiences to support children in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Come join us and your fellow early childhood practitioners to learn more, share experiences, have fun, and make connections with early childhood experts, local early childhood organizations, higher institutes of education, and early childhood businesses.
You will receive 7.5 in-service hours and be eligible for .75 CEUs*!
*Free CEUs for NAEYC or SECA members
We can't wait to see you there!
