NBR Discussion on Taiwan’s Resilience in an Era of Great-Power Competition
About this Event
A research fellow at Stanford University and the Institute of Political Science at Academia Sinica, Taiwan, Dr. Wu brings timely expertise on Taiwanese public opinion, societal resilience, and how small and medium-sized powers respond to external threats amid intensifying great-power competition. Moderated by NBR President Michael Wills, this conversation will offer participants a valuable opportunity to engage directly with one of Taiwan’s leading scholars on issues with growing relevance for regional security and cross-Strait stability.
The event will also feature reflections from President Wills following NBR’s recent high-level delegation to Taiwan, where NBR experts and affiliates met with senior government, industry, and research leaders on technology, trade and investment, and economic security. This event will provide a timely and grounded discussion for Seattle-area leaders and community members interested in Taiwan and the broader Indo-Pacific.
