Please join Richard and John for a hike in Marin County on Saturday, April 27, from Fort Baker to Sausalito.
We will start our hike from the spacious parking area near the Presidio Yacht club and Golden Gate Coast Guard station of Fort Baker. From there we will hike up the paved road to the entry of the Bay Trail in the Marin Headlands. The hike will climb to the ridge top. On this trail, we will hike up and down above SF Bay and highway 101 before we descend through the village of Sausalito to Dunphy Park on the banks of Richardson Bay where we will break for lunch.
Our return to Fort Baker will consist of a stroll along the Bay Front and paved roads of the park. The total hike will be about eight miles. The most demanding climb will be at the beginning of our day of hiking. The afternoon will primarily be easy walking.
If anyone would like to carpool from Petaluma meet Richard in front of Noah's Bagels at 9:00 on Saturday morning.
See the body of this email for directions to the parking area and meet-up point at Fort Baker.
The current weather forecast in Sausalito on Saturday is partly cloudy with a high of 58 degrees and a minimal chance of rain.
Please email [email protected] or text Richard at 707-774-1829 to confirm whether or not you are planning to hike or if you have any questions.
It should be a beautiful day with gorgeous views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:31
