YoungBoy Never Broke Again (born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden on October 20, 1999) is a prolific American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Known for his raw, unfiltered delivery, he is one of the most successful artists of the streaming era, particularly on YouTube, where he has frequently ranked as the most-watched musician across all genres.

• Commercial Success: He has achieved multiple #1 albums on the Billboard 200, including AI YoungBoy 2 (2019), 38 Baby 2 (2020), Top (2020), and Sincerely, Kentrell (2021).
• Chart History: In 2021, he became only the third artist, alongside 2Pac and Lil Wayne, to have a #1 album while incarcerated. He is also the youngest artist in Billboard history to chart 100 songs on the Hot 100.
• Record Labels: After a lengthy tenure with Atlantic Records, he completed his contract in 2022 and signed a joint venture deal with Motown Records for his own label, Never Broke Again.

• Early Life: Raised primarily by his maternal grandmother, he dropped out of school in the ninth grade to pursue music. He famously has three scars on his forehead from wearing a halo brace after breaking his neck as a toddler.
• Family: YoungBoy has a large family, with reports as of mid-2025 indicating he has 12 children. He married his longtime partner, Jazlyn Mychelle Hayes, in 2023.
• Legal History: His career has been heavily impacted by legal issues, including a long-term house arrest in Utah from 2021 to 2024. In May 2025, after serving time for federal gun charges, he was granted a presidential pardon by Donald Trump and officially released from probation.
