Nazario Chickpeazio & Friends. Presented by Madness & Moore Entertainment
About this Event
Nazario Chickpeazio brings a world of sound into one room. His original music moves through bright, joyful passages, melodic and entrancing moods, and rhythms that feel ancient, wandering, and alive. Playing Oud, Lavta, flute, sitar, Baroque guitar, Afghan rabab, and more, Nazario creates music that refuses to be pinned down by one genre or tradition.
His inspirations stretch from classic rock and bluegrass to Spanish guitar, Middle Eastern sounds, and Tibetan ceremonial music. The result is something both deeply musical and transportive — the kind of performance that feels like storytelling without needing a single word.
For more than 30 years, Nazario has delighted audiences across the United States at world music festivals, Renaissance fairs, theaters, college campuses, city markets, restaurants, weddings, and intimate listening rooms. His music has also been featured in Tamarind Tribal bellydance DVDs, and he has shared the stage with artists including flamenco guitarist Evan Christian, percussionist Carlos Adames, and guitarist Daryal Kafkasso.
This special evening also features Chad Canfield, originally from Kenosha County, a musician, composer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer, and founder of Kenebula Records. Chad currently leads the bands Vardo and TΩMA, and previously led Richard Cranium from roughly 2002 to 2014. His background in theatrical, folk-rooted, and original music makes him a fitting collaborator for a night built around imagination, atmosphere, and musical curiosity.
This is exactly the kind of beautifully unusual night The White Lilac was made for: original music, curious instruments, close-up connection, and a room full of people willing to follow the sound somewhere unexpected.
Come fill your soul with a little wonder.
