Marie Malvoisin is a small business owner, a 20-year Army Veteran, and the Vice President of Advocacy for NAWBO Richmond. As the founder of a Richmond-based company, she understands firsthand the challenges and opportunities women entrepreneurs face in today’s economic climate.

Marie has a deep passion for public policy and history, rooted in her belief that strong democracies depend on informed and engaged citizens. She views advocacy as more than a civic duty — it is an ongoing responsibility. For business owners, participation does not end at the ballot box. Exercising your voice means staying informed, building relationships with elected officials, and contributing meaningfully to policy conversations that shape the business environment.

Through her role at NAWBO, Marie is committed to advancing bipartisan, solutions-focused advocacy that protects and promotes women-owned small businesses. She works to ensure that women entrepreneurs are accurately represented in legislative discussions and that their economic contributions are recognized and valued.

Marie believes that when women business owners speak collectively and strategically, they do more than influence policy — they strengthen the economic future of Richmond and the Commonwealth.
