About this Event
We invite you to join us for an opportunity to connect with fellow women business owners. The registration fee includes your meal. We look forward to seeing you and sharing valuable insights together!
✨ Integrated Ambition: For Women Who Refuse to Choose Between Success and Wellbeing
You've hit the goals. You've built the business. You're the one everyone else leans on. So why does rest still feel like something you have to earn?
🌿 September is when the calendar fills back up. School is back, Q4 is coming, and the pace picks up whether you're ready or not. This is the right month to look honestly at how you're carrying it all, before the last quarter decides for you.
🤝 Join NAWBO Austin for our September luncheon featuring Ricki Wax, a Holistic Career Coach, Author, and Keynote Speaker who helps high-achieving women build success they don't need a vacation from. With more than 15 years inside Big Tech, Ricki learned firsthand what it costs to win on paper while running on empty. She's the author of 99 Prompts to Mindfulness & Well-Being, the founder of Empress Retreats, and a voice featured in Forbes and Voyage Dallas.
✨ Ricki will walk us through integrated ambition: a framework for pairing real strategy with mindfulness, so growth becomes something you hold instead of something you recover from. You'll leave with practical ways to protect your wellbeing without slowing your business down, and a clearer sense of how ambition and wellbeing fit together.
What you'll take away:
- Recognize the quiet hum of anxiety high achievers learn to normalize, and learn to interrupt it before it costs you the climb.
- Reframe presence as strategy, not as a distraction from performance.
- Build the boundaries, language, and decision-making tools to lead without losing your center.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT ALL NAWBO LUNCHEONS:
- A welcoming environment for all women business owners and those who support them.
- A registration table with friendly faces to help you sign in and a hospitality team to welcome you if you're new.
- A brief NAWBO Austin monthly meeting program.
- This month's Featured Presentation.
- Door prize giveaway.
- Wrap-up and a chance to network with other women business owners in attendance.
- Space is limited, and we often sell out. Early registration is encouraged. We value your time and adjourn promptly at 1:30.
We're gathering at Cedar Door Patio Bar & Grill — a woman-owned, historical Austin staple downtown.
- Address: 201 Brazos St, Bldg A
- Cross streets: Corner of Brazos & E 2nd St.
- Parking: Paid street parking or $5 - $10 at the Austin Convention Center parking garage directly across the street
We'll have signage and friendly faces at the door to point you in the right direction.
For over 50 years, the Cedar Door has been shaking up Austin-home to the Original Mexican Martini and proudly majority female-owned. Led by owner, Heather Potts, we've mixed legendary cocktails, genuine Texas hospitality and unforgettable memories since 1975.
