Eligible applicants must be age 18 and older and all levels of education (high school diploma or GED minimum) will be considered for full-time and flexible direct care positions for Child & Youth Programs (CYP).

Child & Youth Programs at Naval Support Activity Bethesda is currently hiring positions in their Child Development Centers (6 weeks to 5 years of age). We are also hiring for our 24/7 Care Center which primarily serve military personnel who work non-traditional hours - such as shift workers or watch standers - so that they can balance the competing demands of family life and military readiness.

Direct Care Positions/Starting Salaries

• CYP Assistant Entry - $18.91
• CYP Assistant Intermediate - $20.04
• CYP Assistant Target - $21.23

Recruitment Incentives

• $500 Sign-on Bonus (upon successful completion of orientation)

Naval Support Activity Bethesda (NSAB) Child & Youth Programs

• NSAB has three (3) child care facilities.
• Two (2) traditional centers that operate Monday-Friday from 6 a.m-6 p.m. and are closed on Federal Holidays. They accept children ages 6 weeks through 5 years.
• Austin's Playroom Continuous Child Care center operates 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. This center support shift workers for occasional night and weekend hours. It accommodates children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in a home like environment.
• There is limited parking available on base. Permits are assigned if available, but not guaranteed. Metro transportation is subsidized.
• Other base amenities include: access to the Fitness Center & Pool as well as our discounted ticket program, Navy Exchange and other Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs.
• Other perks available to CYP staff: Priority Child Care Placement and Childcare discounts as well as tuition assistance and career advancement opportunities.

The Hiring Fair will include on-site qualifications screening, interviews, and NAF (Non-Appropriated Funds) Human Resources orientation.
